Grand jury returns no true bill in animal abuse case A grand jury has returned a no true bill after hearing evidence of animal cruelty uncovered in an investigation by the local Humane Society chapter against a Crowville resident.
A no true bill means that the jury found no reasonable cause to believe the defendant committed the allegations charged.
Gloria Cashion, 196 Donnell Gin Road, was cited with 25 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty in August after a Rayville veterinarian, Dr. Chris Morris, issued a report advising authorities to remove all animals from Cashion's dog-breeding operation based on his evaluation of the facility. For the full story, subscribe to the The Franklin Sun's NEW E-Edition! |
