Remembering Sept. 11

A front page story in this week's newspaper is filled with reflections from others on the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, so I thought that I would give you my memories in this week's column.

Ten years ago, I was living in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, where I worked as an illustrator for a publisher of Christian study guides.

Bensalem is a suburb of Philadelphia, about an hour's train ride north to New York City and about two hours by train south to Washington, DC.

Like Paula Hammons said in the front page story, it was a beautiful day.

I vividly remember looking up at a clear blue sky and thinking, "Wow, what a day," as I got into my car that morning to run an errand.
