Patriots to face Delhi Bears
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Franklin Parish Patriots will be back to work this week as they attempt to right the ship following a 42-30 season opening loss to the Ouachita Christian School Eagles last Friday.

The Patriots fell behind early and kept fighting until the end. The Eagles were just too much to handle Friday.

"They are a great team," FPHS head coach Barry Sebren said. "Coach (Steven) Fitzhugh and his staff do a great job. I didn't have our team ready to play tonight and that is something I am going to improve on and our coaching staff is going to improve on. I am extremely proud of the way our guys kept fighting and made plays."

The teams traded punts in the opening frame as neither offense made a lot of progress.
