A West Monroe woman traveling with five children was killed Friday in a one-vehicle accident on La. Highway 618 near Liddieville, according to the Louisiana State Police.

The driver, 37-year-old Lori A. James, was reportedly driving north about 5 p.m. in a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, proceeding onto La. Highway 135, when the vehicle entered a curve.

Troopers investigating the crash determined that she lost control of the vehicle and slid off the roadway. The Suburban then over-turned and partially ejected the unrestrained driver.
