The Louisiana Purchase Council, Boy Scouts of America is hosting Join Boy Scouts School Nights at schools throughout Central and Northeast Louisiana on Thursday, Sept. 1.

Parents or guardians and their sons are encouraged to attend these kickoffs to learn about all the Boy Scouts has to offer them.

To join Cub Scouts, youth must be in the first grade or 7 years old.

To join Boy Scouts, youth must be in the sixth grade or 11 years old.
