A Crowville woman has been charged with 25 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty after several dogs kept at the kennel she operated from her home were found to be neglected, according to officials.

Gloria Cashion, 196 Donnell Gin Rd., was not at her residence Wednesday when officers with the Humane Society of Louisiana seized 25 dogs from the property.

Officials with the Franklin chapter of the Humane Society of Louisiana filed a complaint after information gathered from a two-month investigation revealed that Cashion was keeping multiple dogs on her property without proper care, according to the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Department.
