Russell touts Fresh Start at Chamber meeting

What began as a grassroots effort by members of River of Life church, has grown into a self-sufficient non-profit organization that provides the less fortunate with a 'fresh start' through various programs.

Fresh Start representative Clay Russell keyed the noon address Thursday at the monthly membership meeting of the Winnsboro-Franklin Chamber of Commerce.

Established in 2001, Fresh Start Ministries quickly grew to include a food bank that provides groceries for 500 families a month and prison ministries in Franklin and Richland parishes.
