Corn yields better than expected
Franklin Parish has many natural resources.
Our parish economy has been based on the utilization of these resources to produce food and fiber.
It is projected that by the year 2050 we will have an additional 3 billion people on planet earth.
To provide food and fiber for a growing human population we will have to become more efficient in the way we produce food and produce more on fewer acres.
Arable land is being displaced by human habitation. |
