Country music great Mickey Gilley has called on cousin Freddie Gilley of Mangham once again to open his concert at the Vidalia Civic Center.

The show featuring the Gilleys, along with special guest, former Gov. Edwin Edwards, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 28 at the Vidalia Civic Center. Showtime is 2 p.m. with a repeat performance to follow at 6 p.m.

Edwards will sign copies of his biography by Leo Honeycutt in the Jim Bowie Room at the convention center from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Honeycutt will also be on hand to autography copies of his book.
