James "Cricket" and Dava Long of Baskin announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Renee Long, to Joshua Russell Simms, son of Jerald and Diane Simms of Monroe.

The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Riley and Betty Marsh Boudreaux Jr. of Baton Rouge and the late David Clarkson Sr. of Winnsboro.

Paternal grandparents are Evan "June" and Myrtis Long of Baskin.
