Delhi Gators gear up for Calhoun It is time to strap on the pads and butt heads for the Delhi Charter School football team. The Gators will be in Calhoun on Friday to participate in a three-way scrimmage against the West Ouachita Chiefs and Farmerville Farmers.
The team has been hard at work on the practice field since Aug. 1 prepping for the season.
"It is going good," DCS head coach Bret Raley said. "We padded up this week to see what the kids can do.
With the heat it has not been easy out there. We go about 15 or 20 minutes and give them water.
But we have been able to get a lot of group work in and then cut down team portions because of the heat."
The Gators held their annual Blue and White scrimmage on Friday and saw some improvement among certain positions. For the full story, subscribe to the The Franklin Sun's NEW E-Edition! |
