Police jury joins ethanol debate

The Franklin Parish Police Jury has added fuel to the ethanol gasoline debate with a resolution passed during Thursday's regular meeting.

The unanimously passed resolution calls for congressional help to keep non-ethanol gasoline viable in Louisiana.

"Franklin Parish Police Jury and numerous other parishes in our great state have numerous waterways with large amounts of older recreational and leisure watercraft that use the waterways…a great number of our residents work in the lawn care and landscaping business and have older power equipment," the resolution reads.
