Officials hold domestic violence seminar

Law enforcement officials from near and far met at the Franklin Parish Detention Center on Monday to study methods in dealing with domestic violence.

The training seminar was conducted by the Office of the Attorney General, with help from The Wellspring.

"Some of these officers are new, with less than six months on the force.

Some of them have never even worked a domestic violence case, so it's important that they become familiar with the laws on domestic violence," said Patricia Simmons of The Wellspring.
