|Few problems with protests at ALEC conference|
Demonstrators didn't do much to dampen spirits at the American Legislative Exchange Council's (ALEC) 38th annual conference held last week in New Orleans' said Rep. Noble Ellington.
Ellington, R-Winnsboro, serves as chairman of ALEC, an organization comprised of legislators from all over the country that works to build relationships with government and businesses.
This year's conference included speeches by Gov. Bobby Jindal, political analyst Tucker Carlson, former Majority House Leader Dick Armey, author Arthur Brooks and other nationally known conservative personalities.
Law enforcement officials from near and far met at the Franklin Parish Detention Center on Monday to study methods in dealing with domestic violence.
