Tea party to host forum Aug. 16

Franklin Parish's first candidate forum for the fall elections will be held at the VFW Hall in Winnsboro on Aug. 16, beginning at 7 p.m.

An American Patriot Tea Party, the group hosting the event, has invited all candidates running for office to the forum.

So far, those who have committed to being there are Billy Nungesser, candidate for lt. governor; Steve Pylant, state House candidate for District 20; Cleve Womack, state House candidate for District 20; John M. "Mack" Lancaster, candidate for district attorney for the 5th Judicial District; Kevin Cobb, Franklin Parish Sheriff candidate, and Ricky Campbell, candidate for District 1 on the Franklin Parish Police Jury.
