K-9 officer to demo skills at pet event
Tractor Supply Co. is sponsoring Pet Appreciation Week (PAW), this week, Aug. 3-7.
Door prizes will be awarded through the week and a raffle drawing for a barbecue pit and smoker will be held at the PAW event on Saturday, hosted by the Franklin Chapter of the Humane Society of Louisiana and the local 4-H Club.
A best dressed pet contest is planned for the pet event on Aug. 6, Saturday afternoon. First, second and third place winners will be awarded with the top prize of a $100 gas card going to first place.
