Dixie Darlings to meet Tennessee in Series play Saturday
The Winnsboro Darlings have notched a stellar two weeks on the tournament circuit as they handily seized a district championship in Oak Grove and a state championship in Tioga, advancing them to the 2011 Dixie Softball World Series.
Pineville will host the Darlings division at the Ward 9 Sportsplex beginning July 30.
The first game in round one of the Series will see Virginia and Pineville go head to head on the field, with Winnsboro's Darlings making their debut in game two of the first round when they volunteer to take an early lead in the Series over Tennessee.For the full story, subscribe to the The Franklin Sun's NEW E-Edition! |
