Juror peddling bicycle path in Winnsboro Franklin Parish Police Juror Leroy Scott is pushing construction of a paved bicycle path in Winnsboro to help residents cut back on gas and waistlines.
Scott, who brought the proposal up at Thursday's regular jury meeting, said a bicycle path would give cyclists a safer way to travel and promote healthy recreation in the parish.
"It would allow a generation of users safe passage to school, work, shopping and recreation," Scott said. "It will make our community healthier and cleaner by offering a safe, peaceful place to walk, run, ride a bike and to commute."For the full story, subscribe to the The Franklin Sun's NEW E-Edition! |
