The summer heat can be brutal. It can make you miserable and even very sick. With a few helpful pointers you can beat the summer heat and enjoy your time outdoors.

The key in the summer months is to drink lots of water to keep hydrated. Drinking lots of water and eating properly will help drastically. Keep a bottle of water with you at all times.

When you are outside in the summer heat make sure to find a shady spot to sit. Taking frequent breaks to cool off is critical to keeping your core body temperature down. Remember, being in the shade does not protect you from the harmful ultraviolet radiation so apply a sunscreen with at least a 15 rating to prevent burning.
