Winnsboro plays host to weekend tournaments
The city of Winnsboro will be at the youth baseball hot spot this weekend as three district tournaments converge on Winnsboro at various fields around town.
The 9-10 year old Dixie Youth DistrictTournament will begin Saturday at Marionneaux Field in Winnsboro.
The Dixie Pre-Majors and Dixie Majors will also hold their district tournaments in Winnsboro beginning Saturday.
Each tournament will end next Friday and will see the top teams in the region compete for spots in the state tournament.
Winnsboro Dixie Youth Director Brad Chapman stated that it is an exciting time for Winnsboro youth baseball as the top teams in the district come to town.
