Maydaze fundraiser benefits PGR

For the seventh year in a row, bikes rolled and the cotton fields rocked in Crowville at the 7th Annual Maydaze Crawfish Boil and Poker Run held Saturday, May 21, to benefit the Patriot Guard Riders Fallen Warriors Scholarship.

The Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) is a non-profit organization of individuals, bikers and non-bikers who show their support and respect for the men and women of the armed forces.

The PGR is known for standing flag lines and escorting funeral processions of veterans, past and present, as well as leading welcome home ceremonies.

For more information about the PGR, go to patriotguard.org.

The Maydaze event is hosted by Becky and Terry Simmons of Crowville.

This is the third year in which the proceeds will go to the Mike Bares Memorial Scholarship of the Fallen Warrior Scholarship Fund.
