FPTS Alumni set reunion schedule
Organizers are seeking classmates from the Franklin Parish Training School, later known as Franklin High School, for a reunion scheduled for June 30-July 3.
On Thursday, June 30, registration for classmates will be held at 12 noon. A 'get acquainted again' meet and greet will begin at 1 p.m. with a talent show to follow later that evening at 7 p.m.
Friday, July 1, 'Soul Food Day' begins at 7 pm. with a night concert.
At 7 p.m., on Saturday, July 2, a banquet for former classmates will be held at the Horace G. White Learning Center -- the former site of the FPTS. A special tribute to former principal Shelton Blunt and former FPTS teachers is planned for the evening. All former faculty members are encouraged to attend the banquet.
Church services are scheduled for Sunday, July 3.
Registration to attend the reunion is $87 per person including a T-Shirt; $164 for families with two adults, no children, with two shirts; $250 for families with two adults and three children, including two T-shirts; and $150 for families with one adult and three or more children, including one T-shirt. To register for a one-day event, the cost is $45 per person. There is a $20 elate charge for on-site registrations. Please make checks or money orders payable to FPTS/FHS Alumni Association.
