Patriots football work toward improvements
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Franklin Parish Patriots football team continues to make progress throughout the summer as they work toward improving upon their 6-5 mark during the 2010 season.

The Patriots participated in the 2011 Ouachita Christian School 7-on-7 passing camp last week and the Northwestern State University satellite camp held at West Monroe High School's Rebel Stadium on Monday.

Head coach Barry Sebren sees his team improving each day but still believes the Patriots have miles to go before being where they need to be.

"We went to the OCS tournament and worked on basic routes and ran a lot of pass coverages," Sebren said. "It is hard to say who wins or loses those games. It was not that organized. We had some touchdowns called back on interference calls made by players."
The Patriots played four games at the OCS tournament.

Two games against Neville, and one each against Richwood and Rayville.
