Diabetes NEWS program to be offered Do you or someone you know have diabetes? Do you sometimes get confused by what you can eat if you have diabetes? Are you not sure how you can live well with diabetes?
The LSU AgCenter and Franklin Medical Center is pleased to announce they will be offering the updated program Diabetes NEWS (Nutrition Education Works Series).
The program consists of a series of five classes. Class topics include: Educating Yourself…Diabetes Awareness; Expand Your Options, Improve Your Choices…Nutrition and Diabetes; Balancing Your Lifestyle; Modifying Recipes When Cooking with Diabetes and Living Well with Diabetes.
Each class includes the tasting of a variety of recipes. The classes will be held on Tuesdays in the Franklin Medical Center Auditorium, beginning June 28 at 11:30 a.m. and should last approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours.
