Shane Thompson was in the fourth grade when he decided to honor his late Aunt Liz Reeves by growing his hair and donating it to the Locks of Love foundation. T

wo years later, the Crowville student visited The Salon on Loop Road where stylist Beth cut more than nine inches of the sixth-grader's hair to donate in memory of his beloved aunt who lost her life to cancer.

Shane received special permission from school officials to allow his hair to grow past the length stipulations set forth in the student handbook.

Sixteen-year-old Angie Wempen also visited The Salon to donate her ponytail to Locks of Love.
