Williams, Robinson vie for quarterback position with FPHS

The Franklin Parish High School Patriots football team has a delimma this year. Of course, it is a delimma that just about every football team in the nation wished they had.

The Patriots varsity team has two talented junior quarterbacks.

Now the coaching staff must decide who starts and who plays during key situations under the Friday night lights.

"We went to a triple-option offense a few years ago," FPHS head coach Barry Sebren said. "Last year we started these two sophomores and I told our coaching staff 'If we can just survive this year we will be pretty good.' Now we have two veteran seasoned quarterbacks."

Steven Williams and Demarquise Robinson will be juniors in August at Franklin Parish High School, the pair have developed a bond and a hard work ethic over the past couple of years and now have their sites set on an intense battle for the starting role this fall.
