FMC announces art competition to raise cancer awareness
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
As a way to creatively raise awareness of early detection of cancer, Franklin Medical Center and The Old Post Office Museum are calling for entries in an art competition to promote early detection of cancer.

Museum Director Kay LaFrance-Knight said, "What a wonderful way for the museum to show support for a deserving community project and to seek out talent from our area. We're delighted to be a part of this."

The competition is being held in conjunction with the annual Franklin Medical Center Breast Cancer Awareness Event, to be held in October. The event theme for 2011 is, "A Woman's Journey" and will be held at the Old Post Office Museum, 513 Prairie Street, in historic downtown Winnsboro.
