Blue-White put on fight

With a large contingent of local football fans there in support of the Franklin Parish Patriots innagural Blue & White Spring game, the teams put on quite a show.

In the end the White team took a 20-6 victory from Blue as all players saw playing time.
"I am excited about the way the game was conducted," Franklin Parish head coach Barry Sebren said. "It served the program and school well."

Sebren believes that despite the new Louisiana High School Athletic Association spring football rules that do not allow teams to play other schools in a spring game, his team is still making great progress.

"The state kind of pulled the rug out from under us about scrimmaging another team," Sebren said. "I believe this is the farthest we have been after nine days of practice.

The spring game was good because it gave our players something to do and work toward. They were having fun and it is great to end the year with something like this."

Sebren gained some confidence in the young players on the team after reviewing the film of Saturday's game.
