Waller-Singer holds 5-1 record
by Tom Bonnette - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Waller-Singer upped its season record to 5-1 last week with two wins in the Winnsboro Dixie Ponytail (11-12 year-old) League.

Six balls were caught in the air for outs in last Monday's game, including ones snagged by shortstops Raelyn Johnson of Waller-Singer and Meagan Ferrington of Interstate Buick.

Johnson caught a hard-line drive hit by Interstate's Lexi Poindexter and Ferrington caught a high-fly hit between third base and left field hit by Tyler Robinson.

Poindexter grabbed a hard hit line-drive and a fly ball from the pitcher's mound, both delivered by Jesalyn Jarrette.

Waller-Singer's Amber Howard and Grace Johnston both made running catches during the fifth inning followed by a strike out, ending the game with a three up, three down inning for Waller-Singer to take a 9-2 win.
