A Winnsboro man has died after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 20 in Lincoln Parish.

The Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers responded to the crash May 12 at about 7:10 a.m.

The investigation revealed that a 2011 Hyundai car was traveling east on I-20 near milepost 90.5 when it crossed the yellow lane line and struck a pedestrian that was standing on the paved portion of the roadway between the grass median and the lane marking. The pedestrian came to rest in the median and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lincoln Parish Coroner's Office.
