LSU Tigers to face Crimson Tide Friday

The Louisiana State University Tigers will be back on the baseball field Friday as they visit the University of Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

The teams will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday and play games at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday to wrap-up the series.

LSU is coming off a three-game sweep of SEC foe Kentucky.

The Wildcats fell victim to some sharp pitching and hard hitting from the Tigers during the 8-4 win by LSU on Sunday.
Mason Katz hit a double and a two-run homer to continue his hitting streak.

Katz's series will certainly be one to remember for the sophomore as he finished 8-for-11 with six extra-base hits — including five doubles — six RBI and six runs scored against Kentucky. Mahtook batted 2-for-4 Saturday, connecting on his 11th dinger of the season.
