Tech Bulldogs host western conference The Louisiana Tech University Bulldogs will host another Western Athletic Conference series at J.C. Love Field beginning Friday at 6 p.m. against the No. 13 Fresno State Bulldogs.
The series will give local college baseball fans a chance to see a nationally-ranked opponent play in northeast Louisiana.
Louisiana Tech is coming off a series victory over the Nevada Wolfpack in which the Bulldogs took 3-of-4 games from Nevada in Ruston.
Nevada avoided the sweep on Sunday with a 10-6 victory over Louisiana Tech.
Nevada (16-23, 5-6 WAC) got on the scoreboard in the first as Brian Barnett sent a two-run shot over the left field wall on a 2-2 pitch from Ben Carlisle.
The Bulldogs answered in the bottom of the inning when Kyle Roliard hit his first home run of the season and the sixth of his career. |
