State working with parish to improve Turkey Creek drainage

Turkey Creek is rising quickly and Franklin Parish officials want to change that.
To help increase the waterway's flow, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is using electronic monitoring equipment this week to gather information that officials plan to use when the creek is either dredged or widened sometime next year.
