Mother's Day service planned at AMBC Reverend King S. Dawson and Members of the Augusta Missionary Baptist Church invite each of you to share with us as we celebrate Mother's Day at 11 a.m.. on Sunday, May 8. The theme is, "The Power of a Praying Mother."
Guest speaker will be the former Deidra Atkins of Wisner. She is married to Robertson Monroe Ball Jr. Dr. Atkins-Ball is employed with Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge. She is an assistant professorship in the Department of Biological Sciences and also in the Environmental Toxicology Ph.D. Program.
Dr. Atkins-Ball earned a Master's degree from LSU Medical Center in Shreveport in 1997 and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Meharry Medical College (Nashville, Tennessee) in 2000.
