Acree appointed research scholar, receives scholarship to LSU

Louisiana State University, leading the way in the advancement of knowledge and intellectual inquiry, is proud to announce that Autumn Acree has received appointment as a Louisiana Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (LA-STEM) Research Scholar. Autumn Acree was selected from a field of over 478 nominees after successfully completing the rigorous application process as well as several interviews and a team project during Selection Weekend.

This scholarship, which focuses on scholarly undergraduate productivity and success, is one of the most prestigious awards offered by the University. Each LA-STEM Research Scholar will be awarded a college scholarship valued at approximately $12,700 per year, which includes room/board (on campus only), books, a cash stipend, eligibility for additional travel funds along with an appointment in academic year research, and an opportunity for research positions in the summer at other prominent institutions.

Additionally, as a LA-STEM Research Scholar, Autumn received automatic admission to the LSU Honors College.
