Young talent to return for DC Gators
The Delhi Charter School Gators (4-23) wrapped up their baseball season this week with some positive signs that the program will be able to build upon their fifth-place finish in the state's premiere Class 1A district, 2-1A.
Playing three-game sets of against four of the top 15 teams in the Class 1A ranks on a weekly basis was a learning tool as much as it was a frustration for a team hoping for success now rather than later.
The Gators lose just one player from the varsity team as center fielder Gabe Robinson prepares to graduate.
With so much young talent returning for another year of varsity baseball, the coaching staff of the Gators cannot help but be optimistic.
