Why Trump is on the stump
As you read this, I'm on vacation and if I've been watching television between snoozes on the couch, I've probably seen Donald Trump's orange visage a few times.
Trump is kind of hard to miss these days as he carouses cable news channels, putting talking heads in breathless anticipation about throwing his hat in the ring to become the Republican presidential nominee.
The only thing that Trump is really throwing, of course, is a bunch of bull to boost ratings for his television show, "The Apprentice." I've never watched "The Apprentice" and don't plan to start. I stay informed enough, however, to know that it involves Trump telling washed-up celebrities "you're fired." The person that he should be firing is whoever is advising him that the spray-on tan is working. The problem with Donald Trump is that while he performs well in sound bites, his conservative credentials are as phony as his epidermis hue.
