FA takes Riverdale with 13-0

Franklin Academy's baseball team may not have made the playoffs, but the Cougars made a statement for next season, winning four of their last five games, including a 13-0 win over Riverdale in which Ethan Vick tossed a 2-hitter.

"The young kids came around at the end," said Franklin coach Chris Sullivan. "Our pitching was real good, Ethan and Brady Moroni were outstanding, and our defense was very good. We only made four errors over the last five games."

In the win over Riverdale, Taylor Gilley doubled in Moroni and Britt Grieme in the first inning, while Kyle Howington tripled in Gilley and Vick.
