Winnsboro Dixie Baseball season kicked off Saturday at the J.W. McLemore Baseball Complex with over 275 children, ages four to 19, signing up to play on 25 teams.

Brad Chapman, the league president, accepted a $1,000 check for baseball equipment from Chevrolet Corp. presented by Jimmy Cloessner of Waller-Singer Chevrolet.
