ULM Warhawks travel to Middle Tennessee
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The University of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks will return to the baseball field this weekend with a three-game series at Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

The Warhawks are on a three-game Sun Belt Conference losing streak following a three-game sweep at the hands of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla. last weekend.

The Owls won three close contests, 4-1, 4-3, and 3-1.

ULM stranded 12 runners on base. The Warhawks had the bases loaded with no outs twice in the first three innings of the game but came away with no runs.

Florida Atlantic (23-13, 10-5 Sun Belt) broke through first after Sean Bukovich led off the inning with one of his three singles on the afternoon.

A sac bunt and a single moved him to third with just one out.

Nathan Pittman followed with a single through the right-side of the infield to plate the run.
