The Franklin Parish Lady Patriots will be in wait and see mode for the next few days. The Lady Patriots wrapped up their regular season with a heart-pumping 11-10 extra innings loss to the Ruston Lady Bearcats on Thursday.

The loss dropped the Lady Patriots to 5-5 in District 3-4A and they must now wait until Thursday when the top 32 teams in the power rankings make the playoff picture more clear.

"From everything I have seen, we are going to be in," Franklin Parish head coach Richie Kelly said. "Looking at things like what Ken Ramsey puts out, we are No. 10 with that. We are thinking we are going to be there on Thursday."

Ruston put a shadow of doubt in the minds of local softball fans with their late inning rally against the Lady Patriots last week.
