LaFrance-Knight receives award Winnsboro Main Street Manager Kay LaFrance-Knight believes that the past is something to be treasured and like-minded preservationist have honored her for her work in restoring one of the city's historic treasures—the old downtown post office.
LaFrance-Knight has been instrumental in restoration of the building, which is now the Old Post Office Museum and she recently received a special award for her part in creating the museum by the Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation in Leesville.
LaFrance-Knight said she is humbled and excited to have been selected for the award, which was given during a luncheon at the VFW Hall in Leesville.
