Greg Kincaid of Fort Necessity has been appointed to a term on the Northeast Soil and Water Conservation District.

Mr. Kincaid is one of five governing members on the Board of Supervisors to administer the affairs of a Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).

Board members are public officials who represent the people within their district.

Three members of the board are elected and two are appointed members.

Each supervisor serves a three-year staggered term, which for elected members begins the first day of July following the election.

Appointed member terms begin upon their appointment to the district board.

The district holds regular and special meetings to determine community needs for conservation and resource development, and to plan and organize conservation efforts. Board meetings are open to the public.
