DC Gators take OCS Eagles
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Delhi Charter School Gators (1-15, 0-6 in District 2-1A) are back on the baseball field Thursday when they head to Monroe to battle the Ouachita Christian School Eagles (11-6, 5-1) at 4 p.m. The series will conclude at noon Saturday at Delhi Charter School.
The Gators are coming into the game on a six-game losing streak and the team is searching for ways to stay positive and find some success on the field.

"This week doesn't get any easier," DCS head coach Chad Johnson said. "For us, the biggest thing is just being able to have some success."

Despite losses of 19-4, 18-4, and 4-1 to the Warriors of St. Frederick last week, the Gators seemed to pick up momentum and turn things around as the weekend progressed.
"We are so young that sometimes you go through things," Johnson said. "And we just have to keep getting better. I think we did that last week against St. Frederick."
Gabe Robinson continues to pace the Gators at the plate.
