Franklin Parish Black Achievers Association's Diamonds recently performed their monthly community service at Winnsboro Elementary.

In order to maintain admission into the organization, each member must complete a community service action item each month. The founders of this organization are instilling the importance of giving back to the community. Next month the girls will be traveling to a school in Monroe to motivate young students.

One of the founders of the organization, Christy Allen said, "It doesn't matter what your situation may be or your level within the community. What matters most is that you give back and reach out to those who need your help."

This particular community service project was held at Winnsboro Elementary in order to motivate the students to achieve Mastery and above on their LEAP and iLeap assessment tests.

The Diamonds will performing the WES Academic Parade on April 7, 2011.
