Warhawks to meet Jaguars
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks (12-6, 2-1) will continue their Sun Belt Conference slate this Friday when they begin a three-game series in Mobile, Ala. against the South Alabama Jaguars.

ULM won 2-of-3 games in a conference series against the UL-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns last weekend.

The Warhawks beat ULL 2-1 on Friday and 6-3 Saturday before being bombarded by the Ragin Cajun offense on Sunday in a 11-0 ULL victory.

The Warhawks got a gem of a pitching performance out of Drew Granier on Friday as the senior threw eight scoreless innings in route to picking up the victory.
Granier now leads the Sun Belt Conference in earn run average among starting pitchers with a 1.45 ERA.

Les Aulds, Joey Rapp, and Matt Laird each went 2-for-4 at the plate in the series opener on Friday.

LSU-transfer Randy Zeigler picked up the win Saturday as the junior gave up just three runs- one earned - over eight innings pitched.

ULM scored four-runs in the ninth inning to take the lead and break open a close conference match-up.
