DC Gator face St. Frederick
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Delhi Charter School Gators (1-12, 0-3 in District 2-1A) will continue their District 2-1A series against the St. Frederick Warriors this Thursday and Saturday.

The Gators are coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of the Oak Grove Tigers when the teams opened district play with a three-game series last week.

Oak Grove took the first-game, 9-1 before winning two on Saturday, 14-2 and 7-2.
Despite the losses, the young Gators who start two freshman, appear to be making improvements from game to game.

"Every game we got a little better," DCS head coach Chad Johnson said. "We fell apart Thursday but our pitchers threw pretty good."

Freshman Cole Stacener started the Thursday evening game against Oak Grove and gave up just one earned run but the DCS defense had major problems fielding the baseball which allowed some runs to overtake the Gators.
