John M. "Mack" Lancaster, the interim district attorney for the 5th Judicial District, visited Winnsboro last Wednesday to inform business owners about his office's push to crack down on people who write bad checks.

He said that the new hot check program would help businesses that are hurt by people who rob them by writing bad checks, which is a big problem in Franklin Parish.
