ULM Warhawks to meet Ragin' Cajuns in Lafayette

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks (10-5) begin Sun Belt Conference play this weekend as they face the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns in Lafayette.

The Warhawks have won four games in a row and eight of their last nine games overall.
ULM completed a four-game sweep of Southern Utah Sunday with a 8-6 victory.

Lead off hitter Les Aulds went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs in the Sunday contest while Matt Laird and Jarrett Hammonds went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Kendall Thamm got the start for the Warhawks and gave up just one run and seven hits in two innings of work.

West Monroe-product Shelby Aulds then entered the game and pitched 4.1 innings where he surrendered five runs and five hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

James Jones closed the door on the Southern Utah offense with 2.2 scoreless innings. Jones improved to 4-1 on the mound with the victory.
