The No. 8 Louisiana State University Tigers will be back on the baseball field Friday to begin a three-game series against the No. 1 Florida Gators.

The series will not only mark the second consecutive home series against a Top 15 program but it will also mark the season's first Southeastern Conference series.

The Tigers are coming off of a three-game series sweep of No. 6 Cal-State Fulerton over the weekend.
The Tigers completed the sweep Friday with a 10-2 victory following 7-6 victories on both Friday and Saturday.

LSU wasted little time on Sunday getting the heavy hitters going as LSU scored eight runs in the first three innings of the game.

LSU (15-1) Mikie Mahtook and Mason Katz recorded their 19th RBI of the year which is tops on the team.
